from the Beginning…
Turning a bank into a Garden
Originally built as a bank in 1962, 3308 N Anthony Blvd started a new life in 2019 as the creative arts venue that it is today. Its creative programming and physical design come from the minds of Founders Chad & Lesa Van Meter. For about 20 years between being a bank and transitioning to The Garden venue, the property also served as the offices of Holy Cross Lutheran Church & School. Holy Cross is still an active partner in helping us love our neighborhood and serve creatives in the ‘05.
The Garden Fort Wayne has grown from an idea on paper in 2019 to an ever-growing 12 person team in 2023. And that’s not counting our dozens of volunteers and community partners.
